Coaching and Mentoring

Finding even a moment to think deeply about an aspect of their role is such a challenge for executives, operational managers or health professionals that, as a coach, I feel any opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis with a client to be a real privilege.

Because time is such a precious commodity, ensuring every session is outcome-focused with a clear plan of action is a priority. This means a structured approach; I draw on a variety of coaching models which I use according to the nature and circumstances of each session.

However, I also look to ensure that my clients have the space and time to explore and discover new options for tackling areas in which they may feel ‘stuck’, whether this involves reflecting on beliefs, attitudes, behaviours or feelings. My training in approaches such as Appreciative Inquiry (i.e. focusing on what works) and Time to Think helps me to facilitate this process.
